Ms. Solís’s arrangements of Spanish classical music for piano with viola constitute the principal reason for the creation of this website. These arrangements exist in manuscript only, and many of the scanned images of these files reproduce the copies that Ms. Solís used in performance. Seven of her arrangements for piano and viola are recorded on her CD, The Mystical Music of Andalucia.
Readers are welcome to download copies of Barbara Solís’s musical arrangements and present them in performance. The estate of Barbara Solís retains copyright of materials by Ms. Solís that appear on this website.
This website has been compiled by Ms. Solís’s viola performance partner, Kevin James of Ottawa, Canada, with the generous permission of Barbara Solís’s family.
